CAN I PLAY THE GAME WHENEVER I WANT?

Yes, once you purchase a game, you can play it whenever you choose, unless there are time limitations explicitly mentioned in the game description. However, once the game has been finished, it cannot be replayed with the same access code. Keep in mind that playing at night might affect visibility and you would be playing at your own risk.


DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING TO MY PHONE?

Our games are browser-based, and there is no need to download any app to be able to play.

HOW CAN I ADD TEAMMATES?

You can add teammates before starting the game. You will receive a game code in an email. Once you start the game with the game code, teammates will be able to join by scanning a QR code from your screen. Your teammates will then have access to the same information in real time and will be able to participate and solve puzzles.

CAN A LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE PLAY, 10 OR MORE?

Yes, our Fox Hunt games can accommodate large groups as well. For groups larger than 25, please contact us. If you are a group with less than 25 people, then you can choose a game, and select how many games you want to purchase – each game is suitable for maximum 5 people.


CAN I PLAY AGAINST OTHER TEAMS?

Yes! Each bought game generates a unique game code for your team. If there are more than 5 members in your team, you can purchase multiple codes and play against other teams! Track your score on the leaderboard and play on!


HOW DOES THE SCORING WORK?

You can earn points by inserting a correct answer and by solving a puzzle in the predetermined time-bonus interval of time. Skipping a puzzle will bring you zero points for that puzzle. You can lose points by answering incorrectly, or by choosing to use a hint. If you find scoring important, before inserting an answer, skipping the puzzle or opting for a hint, talk it through with your teammates, and make sure the whole team agrees.


WILL I HAVE ANY HELP AVAILABLE DURING THE GAME?

Yes, we offer hints throughout the game if you ever feel stuck or need some guidance.


WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN’T SOLVE A CLUE?

You can either get a hint or skip the challenge completely if you can not solve a puzzle.

WHAT IF I CAN’T ACCESS A CERTAIN LOCATION?

If you encounter difficulties accessing a particular location, no worries! You can simply skip that location and continue with the game.


WHAT IF CAN’T START THE GAME OR IF THE NAVIGATION PIN IS NOT WORKING?

Firstly, check whether you have allowed both location sharing and pop-ups. If you have done that already and the blue dot is still not moving, try walking around a bit so that your location syncs up with the in-game map. This should solve your issue, but if it still does not work, contact our support team at +46 26-120012 or hello@foxinaboxgavle.com.

I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CODE

If the email with the code is not in your regular inbox, please check your spam, junk, promotions or other folders to check if the email is lost there. If it is not there either, please contact us at +46 26-120012 or hello@foxinaboxgavle.com and we’ll be happy to help out.

WHAT IF MY BATTERY RUNS OUT?

We suggest that you carry a mobile charging device. However, if your phone battery runs out, you can still access the game using the game code and team name you initially used once you charge your phone. Alternatively, your teammates can continue the game on the devices that they linked at the beginning of the game.


CAN I STOP THE GAME AND CONTINUE LATER?

Yes, anytime between puzzles, for as many times as you wish. Our game is designed to be flexible, allowing you to explore and solve puzzles at your own pace.


IS THE GAME PHYSICALLY CHALLENGING?

You will not need to run, crawl, climb or do any physically challenging activities during our games, unless you really want to. Our games are not time-limited, and the only variable that counts in the leaderboard is time spent from starting the puzzle until solving it. We are challenging your mind, not the skills that you used to get from location to location. Pay attention and be aware of your surroundings. Your safety is a priority, as well as the safety of others.

SHOULD I BE FAMILIAR WITH THE PLAYING AREA?

Although knowing the area is a plus, our game is designed to be enjoyed by both locals and visitors. Whether you’re a longtime resident or exploring a new area, you can join the adventure and discover exciting insights about the region along the way.


CAN I BRING CHILDREN ALONG?

Our games are mostly children-friendly, and there are no game restrictions. If a game is not intended for children, it will be emphasized in the game description. For our hunt games that are played outdoor, we do not recommend younger children to play the games without adult supervision.


CAN I BRING A PET?

Our outdoor games are usually pet-friendly, but just in case, you can check with our team before purchasing the game, in case there are restrictions in certain areas.
